TitleLetter from Lord Penrhyn at Penrhyn Castle to P.A.Lloyd.
DescriptionThe arrangements which had been agreed with the committee were given to Mr. Francis and published with the whole correspondence in the newspaper. Lord Penrhyn has looked over the lettings, and compared them with the July lettings and earnings. The managers had overdone the agreement against Penrhyn. On Friday the men struck work again. Their reason being that the manager did not mean to carry out the agreement. Lord Penrhyn offered to refer the case to the arbitration of A.Wyatt in Lloyd's absence. Lord Penrhyn requested that the quarrymen give the charge of breaking his promises in writing by Saturday 26th. If the charges were not presented by this time then he would consider them withdrawn. Penrhyn states that the men have only brought forward 4 cases so far, he continues to outline these charges.
