Documents organised by bridge, and contains items relating to: Conway(sic) Bridge 1878 (contains copy of parliamentary bill and letter from Fred Stanley regarding monies owed to the exchequer in relation to said bridge). Tal-y-bont Bridge 1880 Menai Bridge - Contains one document giving breakdown of bridge costs and sums advanced for both Menai and Conway Bridges n.d. Petition against Menai Bridge - 1846-7 Contains petition against the construction of a railway bridge over the Menai Straits signed by quarry proprietors, merchants and mariners from Porthmadog and memorials relating to the removal of dangerous rocks at the swellies to improve navigation
27 - Folder of correspondence relating to the Royal Visit of 1894. Also contains an edition of The Morning Post from 1852 detailing Queen Victoria's visit to Bangor, programme for the Prince of Wales' visit in 1862, letters relating to the visit of the Duke and Duchess of York 1895, and correspondence from the Royal family to Lord Penrhyn, including one letter written in the hand of Albert Edward (King Edward)
28 - Folder of documents relating to Home Farm, mainly consisting of accounts, stock lists etc. Also includes bundle of correspondence from Robert Smith regarding agricultural practices inc hay making, sales, bulls etc. and a catalogue of household furniture to be sold at Ty Newydd, with items owned by the Penrhyn estate and removed from the sale crossed out
29 - Envelope of items relating to paintings at Penrhyn Castle. Includes printed catalogues, correspondence, vouchers (for purchase and maintenance), lists of paintings and values for insurance purposes, notes on providence, research etc. (possibly by Alice Douglas Pennant)
