AdminHistoryWilliam Ellis Williams was an Independant Lecturer in Electrical Engineering at U.C.N.W., 1926-1943 when he was appointed Professor. His professional interests were wide, ranging from hydroelectricity to radio and television. An engineer-scientist to his finger tips, he and his colleague, Professor Bryan, the professor of Mathematics, in the years immediately before the first world war designed, built and flew their own aeroplane.
