| Teitl | Deed of lease by John Salcot alias Capon, Lord Bishop of Bangor, to William, son of Rowland Bulkeley, upon all the messuages, tenements and rents in co. Anglesey of the Bangor church lands except those of Talyllyn and Treflesg; 20 years at a yearly rent of £20.10.10. notwithstanding that Talyllyn and Treflesg belong as of right to the Bishop and his successors, yet they are let separately to William Bulkeley - 28/4 yearly for Talyllyn and 21/6 yearly for Treflesg |
| Disgrifiad | W.B. had already a lease on the Church lands of Llanfflewyn, 20/- yearly rent; but by present agreement "it shall be & goo in the above writtyn some of £20.10.10." An obscure reference to three parcels seems to mean that Bulkeley had Talyllyn and Treflesg in the same total as well. The right-hand side of the document, written on poor paper, is badly mutilated, but the clerical signatures at the foot are quite clear - Robert Evans, Dean; William Glyn, Archdeacon of Anglesey; John Robyns, canon and prebendary; John Hughes, chancellor. For John Capon, see Browne Willis: Bangor , 98-99; W.B. became ancestor of the Bulkeleys of Porthamel |
