| Disgrifiad | He was incumbent there from 1513 to 1558 (A. Ivor Pryce: Hist. Dioc., i, pp.1,17), had evidently married in the days of Henry VIII, for he seems to have had a large grown-up family; he had also not a little landed property to dispose of. To his son John he gave the tenement of Myarth in the township of Castell, also Cader y Sgwrth (sic) alias Y Derlwyn in Llanfairfechan; to his son Ellis [helis] Tyddyn Kefnerth in Llanfairfechan, to the preferment of his marriage “if the said Ellis be ruled by his brethren and the executors"; bequests also to near relatives [presumably] called Hugh ap William the elder, Hugh ap William the younger, and to Richard a brother of the latter; also to his daughter Elizabeth vch William ap David ap Gwilym. Several other gifts and legacies, especially to his “trusted cosyn" Sir William ap Ieuan Lloyd.
