Usual provisos regarding rentable repair and re-entry on payment of rent, followed by a more unusual procedure - Sir Richard covenants to stock the farm with 20 kine in calf priced at 33/4 each, with them a bull (also at 33/4); 106 ewes, 89 lambs, and 3 stacks of hay containing 36 "fathomes", on condition that a similar number of cows, lambs, etc., and an equal stock of hay be delivered to Sir R., or their equivalent in money on 26 March, 1596. On the dorse is a memo, that four more kine were delivered, priced at 26/8 each, with an amended proviso for re-delivery |
