| Description | between Griffith Jones of Castellmarch and Jane his second daughter [soon to be wife of Thomas Williams of Dinas, brother to the second Sir William Williams of Vaynol, and after his death to Thomas Bulkeley of Dinas], reciting the marriage settlement of Griffith Jones himself and Mary, daughter of William Griffith of Caernarvon and Trefarthen [not Margaret as in Pedigrees, 191], with the various lands enfeoffed, their uses and limitations (30 July, 1614), and the marriage settlement of Margaret, eldest daughter of G.J. with Sir William Williams of Vaynol (14 April, 1640), when these uses were partially revoked. The lands referred to were parcels in Llanfair Isgaer, Drws y Coed, Rhwng y Ddwy Afon, Tyddyn Mawr yng Nghwm Hengwm, Talymignedd, [several of these are in the Upper Nantlle Valley] and Tyddyn Rug; of these, by the present indenture, Jane gets a lease for 21 years on Talymignedd and the Llanfair parcels |
