| Description | The document is a copy in a comparatively modern hand; it is doubtful if June be exactly correct as a date, as Sir Richard only died on the 28th of that month. The names of the mourners testify to the intricate ramifications of the Baron Hill family - Sir Richard's oldest son and heir, together with his sons; Thomas Bulkeley, the Later first Viscount; Bulkeleys of Porthamel, Llangristiolus, Coedan and Plas Goronwy: Sir Thomes Holland of Berw, Philip Pugh of Penrhyn Creuddyn and John Griffith of Ll?n [cefn Amwlch], members of families who had intermarried with the Bulkeleys. Bearers of pennon, spurs, gauntlet, sword, shield and coat particularly named; "for the coffin 4 breadths of velvet 2 yards 3 quarters long to cover it". It is interesting, in the light, of later events, to find Thomas Cheadle prominent among the list of mourners; and very natural, since his family had been “made" by the third Sir Richard.
