| Disgrifiad | Professor Douglas McKie was Head of the Dept. of the History of Science, University College, London, who spent the years of World War II in Llanllyfni. The letters (one each year, just before Christmas) illustrate the writer's great love of North Wales. Professor Mckie's health was not good during this period, neither was that of his wife, and this obviously limited their activities and his work. He finally retired in September 1964, after a 3 year extension of his tenure as Professor. |
