AdminHistory | Dr Barry Varndeel Michael Corps was a junior doctor at the Caernarvon and Anglesey Hospital in the 1950s and was a keen angler.
Though having fished in Wales, Ireland, England and Scotland his favourite river, from which he caught the bulk of his salmon, was the A'an, a tributary of the river Spey which flowed near the village of Tomintoul in the Cairngorms, Scotland. It was only fitting that he caught his last salmon from this river in May 2017 when he was 87 year old (this is recorded in the Game Book - BMSS/40687) |
