Disgrifiadby William Hughes of Caderelwa to Richard John Owen of Gest, "Smyth," of Cae'r Farch [Ferch?] Felen, Dryll y Meirch, Talar yr Afon, Dryll Maen Llwyd, in the township of Pencoed, co. Caernarfon.
On the dorse is a rather interesting order of the Council in the Marches of Wales sitting at Ludlow, 21 November 1593, in a matter depending between Richard ap David Lloyd, plaintiff, and William ap Ievan ap Llewellyn, defendant, concerning lands in Llangybi, co. Caernarfon. There are no particulars given, except that the lands in question once belonged to David Lloyd, plaintiff's father [and presumably were some, if not at all, of the lands released by William Hughes 51 years later]. The Council thought the matter more meet to be tried at Common Law, ordered the defendant to be dismissed "without costs," and the clerks of the Council to "exemplify" the pleadings, orders, interrogatories and depositions in the case.
