Disgrifiad | He protests against paying £50 duty on a legacy of £500 bequeathed him by the last will of John Griffith of Llanfair Hall, as he has since discovered that he was descended from the sister of the grandfather of the said John Griffith (this, he says, would entitle him to pay £30 only, and prays for the return of £20). Pedigree attached, which agrees pretty exactly with Pedigrees, after a collation of pp. 47, 123, 296. Mary Poole, a spinster of 70 years, dr. of Richard Poole the attorney, makes an affidavit in support (for her, see Pedigrees, 352). John G. died in April, 1830; and probably the memorial was put forward in the course of that year. |
