Sir John acted as editor throughout, and was directly responsible in Vol. I for Sec. II of the Introduction ("Boundaries and Local Divisions"), and for Chapter II. - "The Age of the Princes, 400 - 1282 A.D.". For these contributions he subjected his previous researches for the 'History of Wales' to the severest scrutiny and added whatever new facts had come to light between 1911 and 1935. |
