Disgrifiad | All suits and actions to be laid aside, and both parties enjoined to be loving friends for evermore; Roland ap Gr. to hold the lands and tenements of his father Gr. ap John in Bodvilocke and Bodffythion without let or hindrance from Ales, Katrin or Thomas ap Richard ap Madoc, but Roland to pay £26.13.4. within the parish church of Llandegfan in four separate yearly payments until full and complete payment is made on 24 August., 1586 (payment to be made either to Thomas ap Richard ap Madoc or to Owen ap Jenkin ap Madoc or to David ap Ellis ap Madoc, one of the arbitrators), and also to deliver twelve lambs to Ales and Katrin at or very nigh the churchyard of Llandegfan at any date between 1 May and 1 Aug. next ensuing. Moreover, Ales and Katrin are not to impeach this award by referring to any legacy or will of Gr. ap John or appeal to the ordinary of diocese of Bangor; the two sisters also, when they come of age, are to give a sufficient and lawful acquittance to Roland ap Gr. for the sums of money and the lambs delivered unto them.
The year at the foot is 1582, with a reference to the "day and yere above-written". A careful examination of the document reveals no such day or month or year above-written. |
