TeitlLetter from Dr Edward Wynn at Hereford to his nephew, William Owen at Penrhos
DisgrifiadHad a letter from Neddy on Monday setting forth the business of a corn factor's appentice, namely that it consists in keeping his master's books, going on errands, attending ships occasionally and sailing the corn at Bear Key etc. But Owen's mother is better able to judge of the value and merits of a corn factor than the writer is. £200 seems a great premium for teaching a young lad the mystery of what Jockey has in a great measure arrived at. But the world improves daily in expenses and vices. Neddy says he can't yet learn whether Mr Lewis Thomas is in town, as soon as he hears he is, he will advise with him about Dicky. Will send Hugh to Oxford next week to keep his terms; it surpasses the writer's skill to preach laziness out of him and thought unto him
