Disgrifiad | This ledger contains the account of all the stock on the Penrhyn Home Farm between 1817 and 1957. The details included in this book are the details of the stock obtained, for what price and any remarks relating to this. Also there are details of the date when this stock was disposed of, for what price, and again any remarks relating to this. There is a folder loosely inserted into this ledger that contains the material that were loose towards the back of the book. This includes a collection of typed sheets with details such as name of animal, date of birth, ear no., sire, dam, breeder (which is noted to be Lady Janet Douglas-Pennant), aminal sold to. There are also pages with handwritten notes relating to the stock. There are also results of a TB check on the farm on the 17th of July 1952 and a letter from the farm to the Feeding Stuffs Executive Officer on the 31st of January 1952 regarding the loss of rationed feeding stuff by fire. There is also a booklet included in this folder called, ‘Rules for National Milk Records Operated by the Milk Marketing Board, Revised Dec, 1950’. Additionally there is a map titled, ‘Penrhyn Park and Home Farm Soil Map’ and an empty box of medium Capston Navy Cut Cigarettes W.D & H.O. Wills Bristol and London which has notes on back of the packaging. |
