| Disgrifiad | After a great deal of discussion in the parish vestry about the site of the proposed new church at Llantysilio, the parishioners accept from the Marquess the whole of Church Island for the purpose, as well as for enlarging the present graveyard. This, however, leaves them still unsatisfied, and a further request for land on the mainland for the erection of a National School meets at first with a point blank refusal; but later the Marquess compromises by granting just enough land on the island for the site of the church and the extension of the cemetery and also a site on the mainland near the village of Menai Bridge for a school. |
