TeitlCorrespondence and papers relating to polling places at the 1837 election
DisgrifiadThese relate to the claim of Amlwch to be made an additional polling place for the county. A petition to the Quarter Sessions in May, signed by two of the local justices was turned down in favous of a counter-petition from Llannerch-y-medd, in spite of the strong conclusive evidence on behalf of Amlwch, whose cause was stoutly championed by the Plas Newydd and Penrhos interests. The matter however, was not allowed to rest there, for in July a memorial was presented to the Priv Council in the name of the Amlwch electorate, praying for a reversal of the Magistrates' decision (PN/II/142)
