Letter from John Griffith (of Cefnamwlch) to Thomas Williams of Llanidan, the Plas Newydd agent
DisgrifiadSpeculating on the probability of John Parry (of Wernfawr; M.P. Caerns. 1780 to 1790) being elected for the county and of the writer himself for the borough; and the consternation which would thereby result in the Bulkeley - Paget camp. Griffith, however, assures T.W. that his loyalty towards Lord Uxbridge has led him to sacrifice any personal designs on the borough, even though it meant committing "the greatest outrage upon my feelings and judgement".
