DisgrifiadWitha view to improving the town's communication system, the Corporation proposes in 1830 to cut a gateway in the town wall at the north eastern end of Market Street. The scheme, we gather, is not entirely commendable to the worthy denizens of that street (1654). 1655 is from Thomas Beer to Richard Rowlands, tenant of the Caernarvon Hotel, canvassing his vote in favour of the liveral cause in the municipal election of 1838 - "a smart and close election is expected"
