Having waited impatiently for a contradiction of the charges contained therein, they are under the Bishop's silence confirms his guilt. Congratulates him upon his fortunate deliverance at the last assizes ar Shrewsbury - thanks to the Jury, who acted for teh public good, concurring that by returning the verdict they did, they would be protecting their religion from the discredit it would have suffered had the Bishop been found guilty. Humbly supplicate him that he will attempt to subdue "that malignity and those inordinate Passions which have made us and all within the Diocese the subject of so much derision". |
