Disgrifiad | That the two letters from the Bishop of Bangor to the Chairman (3552 and 3553) are not at all satisfactory to the meeting, the Bishop having failed to retract or substantiate the insiduous charges which he made against the gentlemen of Anglesey. In attempting to transfer three charges to certain unknown and unnamed persons, the Bishop has conducted himseld in a manner unbecoming his secred profession. As for the representations which have been made of the Bishop's conduct in certain pamphlets and handbills, the meeting is not concerned with these. it is up to him to vindicate himself in any way he thinks proper; if such representations be false, they can easily be refuted; if, however, his Lordship's administration is reprehensible, then he must not expect the gentlemen of Anglesey to stoop so low as to mis-spend their time in undertaking his defence. |
