Disgrifiad | He has been considering a good deal over the quarry business, over the letter sent to Lloyd and a newspaper article of last Saturday. Talks of clearing his name over charges that were made as he left Lime Grove. A challenge was made to Lord Penrhyn through Pennant which he failed to take up. But Lady Penrhyn read every word and her indignation knew no bounds. (Part of letter is missing).
Attached : Letter from P.A.Lloyd at Pentrehobyn, Mold to Lord Penrhyn. Advises Lord Penrhynas he is looking into this quarry business, to get copies made of letters written in May 1884 or 1885 to the North Wales Chronicle. Says that when bad times came as a result of the settlement made while Lloyd was abroad those who committed the sad blunder were trying to pin mistakes on him (Lloyd). He only wishes to forget it all. |
