AdminHistory | It is important to note that there were three Reverends John Ellis at work in the diocese of Bangor about 1770-1790, and all closely related; J.E., vicar of Bangor and Archdeacon of Merioneth - he had married Margaret Lloyd of Trallwyn, and was father of J.E. of Llanystumdwy, later owner of Trallwyn; and there was a cousin of the vicar of Bangor, J.E. rector of Llanbadrig and afterwards of Llanrug. It was the uncle of Llanbadrig who inducted his nephew to the rectory of Llanystumdwy in 1771. |
