DisgrifiadLetters from overseas Kenricks to the depositor, etc. The notes refer to the families of Eddowes, Henry, Woore, Beale, Staples, Shippen, Johnson, Carter etc. Other items include a note in pencil to "Dear Kathleen" (c. 1932) in the depositor's hand, concerning a painting by Sir Godfrey Kueller of John Kenrick, who was destroyed by a fire at a Covent Garden restorer's studio in 1769. This information was acquired by "Great Uncle Llewelyn" [Kenrick] in 1932, from a dealer from whom he bought an engraving of the picture. Another item is a cutting from an un-named newspaper, showing Dr. G. H. B. Kenrick of Caerhun Hall, near Conwy, in company with Dame Margaret and Lady Megan Lloyd George. A note in the depositor's hand explains that he was a descendant of Orlando Kenrick and his wife Margaret Owen, who became Roman Catholics, and whose "names were erased from both family bibles" in consequence.
