DescriptionManifesto by Richard Bulkeley, merchant, Robert Broke, Robert Thickness, John Thickness, Hugh Godfrey, Jenkin Smith, Richard Hale, Richard Werall, Edward Haywarde, et al. members of a certain late commission of inquiry, refuting certain charges published against them, that they presented that divers quarries of slatestones and millstones in North Wales, were the property of the Crown; that Rowland Bulkeley intruded into 45 acres of land (escheat) in Beaumaris and Carregwyddel; that William Bulkeley, late of Beaumaris, entered into a close, the possessions late of King Edward IV in Beaumaris, called The Friar's Hey; and that the aforesaid Rowland Bulkeley entered into certain lands called Pyllau Budron in Beaumaris and into land called Maes Alice also in Beaumaris. The said commissioners allege that the said quarries and lands are not Crown possessions and deny the aforesaid intrusions to have ever been made
