| Description | This present indenture is signed [mark] by "Hugh Bulkeley, the sonne of Willm Bulkley, alias Wylkin Bulkley". How Hugh of 1586 is related to Thomas, and how both to the main Bulkeley stem, is at present somewhat of a mystery. Both documents figured in some litigation of 1683 between Robert, second Lord Bulkeley, and Henry Sparrow of Red Hill, for on 9 Octr. in that year each was solemnly examined by a commissioner under Great Sessions |
