DescriptionArticles of agreement between Thomas Bulkeley [first Viscount] and Robert, son and heir (one party) and John Field of Beaumaris, corvizer (other party); lease to Field upon a parcel of land lying in Castle Street between the house of Humphrey Sparrow and the house of David Williams, together with a shop, kitchen, and outhouses held by various tenants, in addition to the ground owned by the Bulkeleys between Castle Street and the garden walls of Baron Hill; 100 years, if either John himself or his wife Ann or John Bevan ["Beavyn"] of Russell Street, Covent Garden, will live so long, at 1/- a year. Must build a house on the ground, of stone, 3 stories high and covered with slates. Timber for the purpose to be supplied him either from Coed Cadw or the upper park or from Llanfair Wood together with its carriage (if found at Coed Cadw), but the squaring, sawing, &c. of the said timber must be at the cost of John Field; Field or his tenants at the said messuage and house to grind their corn at the British Mill "they being well used therein"
