| Description | by Grono ap David Vychan of Mathafarn Wion to Rees ap Tudur ap Sir David of Heneglwys, of Hafod Grythwr and other parcels of land in Mathafarn Wion. Document rather illegible, but it seems that it was this Grono who gave his name to Plas Grono; the bounds are given by references to houses rather than to lands, e.g., the houses of Hoell ap Gro. ap Ieuan ap David ap Madoc, Rees ap David ap Iollyn, and a somebody which winds up on line 6 as ap Tudur Benllyn. The witnesses were: Master Richard Bulkeley, archdeacon of Anglesey [brother to Rowland Bulkeley, father of the first Sir Richard]; David ap Sir Griffith; William ap Robert ap Grono; Thomas ap Rees ap Sir David; Nicholas Byrckdale ["Byctal"], burgess of Beaumaris |
