| Description | by Thomas ap David ap Llywelyn, clericus, and Lewis ap Ieuan ap Rees, upon matters at variance in Llanddyfnan, between Sir Richard Bulkeley [first] and Hugh ap Llywelyn ap Hoell ap Dicws. Practically amounts to a deed of exchange: Sir Richard to have all the lands of Hugh from the house of Ievan ap Hwlcyn up to Afon Wenfro, reserving to Hugh a meadow by Sarn Vynan, and stretching from Maen Gwyn to Caer Kynrick. There are many more particulars which go far to prove that the interests of Hugh ap Llywelyn did not suffer at the hands of the arbitrators, and also introduce names of tenements of Llanddyfnan with an old-world-flavour - Carreg Alltyrch, Sarn Frochwel, Bryn y Gloch, Bryn y Porthor, Erw'r Rhyd, Dryll y Stalwyn, Buarth y Porson, &c. |
