| Description | by Dr William Griffith of Caernethor (i.e., Caeneithior or Carreglwyd), Chancellor of two dioceses, to Dr Thomas Gwynn, Chancellor of the diocese of Llandaff, originally granted to W.G. by Robert Bulkeley of Dronwy in 1633 for 21 years, for the unexpired term. Dr Thomas Gwynn was a younger son of John Wynn ap Rhys of Bodychen; another younger brother, Richard, married into the Bulkeley family (Baron Hill). The aforesaid lease was upon a quillet of land adjoining Melin Aberalaw. Annexed is the surrender (1 July, 1642), for a consideration, by Hugh, brother of Dr William Griffith to T.G., of an annuity or rent-charge issuing out of a tenement in the township of Aberalaw |
