| Description | Six documents, ranging from 31 Aug., 1686, to 27 Febr.,1698-9, by which the interests of Rowland Wynne of Pengwern by Llanwnda in the demesne of Porthamel and various lands in Llanidan and Llanddaniel are assigned to Francis Bulkeley of Llangefni. Rowland Wynne was the second husband of Catherine, widow of Richard Bulkeley of Porthamel, and therefore step-father to Francis. Incidentally, the Pedigrees are quite incorrect (p.12) in stating that Francis's father Richard was buried in 1703, seeing that these documents time and again say he made his will in 1672. It is to be noted also that Carnarvonshire witnesses figure in several of these papers, e.g., Richard Edwards of Nanhoron, because Catherine was daughter to Thomas Glynne of Glynllifon |
