Margaret was his second wife, daughter to John Wynne of Melai, and sister to the William Wynne who was slain in the Civil War; of 13 witnesses, no less than 7 have the surname Wynn or Wynne. The agreement has to do with the equitable clearing up of affairs after the death of Sir William, the smoothing out of difficulties between step-son and stepemother (it was well they had the help of Griffith Jones, one of the most prudent and diplomatic Carnarvonshire men of his time).
