| AdminHistory | The Bulkeleys of Dronwy were a younger branch of the main Baron Hill stem [the first Robert B. of Gronant (Dronwy was acquired later) being brother to the first Sir Richard Bulkeley]; but very curiously, this Robert Bulkeley of 1806-1809 is nowhere to be found in the Dronwy table (pedigrees, 105). The anomaly is cleared up by docts. 3968-3970, where it is made clear that he was not really a Bulkeley of Dronwy at all, but of Gronant, son of Robert Bulkeley and of Margaret, daughter of the Rev Robert Hughes [Plas Coch]. rector of Llanidan (Pedrigrees, 121) |
