Description | At the end is a note, written at Holyhead on 30 March, 1689, by three Deputy Lieutenants of the county, hoping that the defaulters will be punished for their demerits in contemning the commands for so important a service [defence of the country in face of the new troubles of 1688-9], adding that there were three ships in the harbour ladn with shot and tallow, two bound for Milford and one for Bristol; there were also several poor soldiers in the town "that were sent here", who have but 2/- in their pockets, and some with less. With the first list of defaulters is a second, in which Talybolion hundred has a place for itself; there is also a third list, viz., of those in Talybolion who were not defaulters |
