He has paid £50 to Captain Bartlett's seamen, and wishes the Viscount to pay them £50 in addition, "the men being apt to mutiny"; he points out that, nevertheless, they are good seamen, and that their ship will be for the safety of the N.W. coast and for the benefit of the [King's] commerce and trade |
