DescriptionEnumerates many financial bequests, and variously devises farms, etc, called Digoed and Tan y buarth (Llangaffo); Frondeg (Newborough); Clynnog, Tyn y grissia, Tyn y grissia bach and Tafarn tywysog (Llangeinwen and Newborough); Hoewell (sic) y wal (village of Newborough); Ty croes (Llangeinwen); Yr efail, Glanrafon and Park Tir Rhyddgaer (Nweborough); Ty cerrig and Cerrig y beithi (Llangeinwen and Llanfair yn y cwmmwd); Tros yr afon and Salisbury Park (Llangeinwen); Penybont and Farm Yard (Malltraeth); Tu hwnt ir deyrnas and Penrhyn House Newborough village); Bodlaw (Llanidan and Llanddaniel); and Maesoglan (Llangeinwen). Bequeaths £250 to Dwyran Welsh C.M. chapel, and sums to other charities, etc. Names as executors his brother Thomas Owen of Rhyddgaer, Esq; his son Humphrey of the same, gent; and John Humphrey Griffith of Clynnog, gent.
The second-named is also appointed residuary legatee, he is to pay testator's housekeeper Ellen Owens the sum of £52 p.a. for life, issuing out of Ty main in the parish of Newborough. By a codicil dated 9 March 1896, revokes certain clauses of the above will; leaves to his sister Anne Morgan the Tai issa estate (7 farms) near Waenfawr, for life, with specified remainders.
