AdminHistoryMargaret Louisa Wyatt was born in 1858, the eldest daughter of Arthur Wyatt of Tanybryn, Bangor, who was the agent of Lord Penrhyn at Penrhyn slate quarry. Tanybryn was situated behind the Penrhyn Arms where the University College of North Wales was based. Arthur Wyatt was a member of the College Council and Margaret entered the University in November 1884 and left at the end of 1886. The Wyatts had been involved with the Penrhyn estate from the late 19th century. Benjamin Wyatt was an agent on the estate and it was his famous brother Samuel who was chosen to transform Penrhyn in the style of the Gothic revival.
