DescriptionDescribes how he was wounded in the neck (26 March 1916) and also the aftermath of an attack on the German lines, 'the field was nearly covered with killed and wounded'.
He himself died of shell wounds on 11 February 1917 and was buried at Bethune Cemetary, France. Originally from Bryn Golau, Llanddyfnan, Anglesey, he left a widow and three children.
