TitleDiary of William Thomas Bason
DescriptionThe war, the fate of our country, and the wasted lives of men are often referred to in this journal. The diary contains two Labour related newspaper cuttings, one titled "Economy and Education- A Labour Point of View".
Bason is troubled by the war and is praying for his country (25 July 1915). He mentions that he cannot go to fight in the war as he is not "physically sound".
Entry about his operation for a rupture and his two-month period off work (28 Feb 1915).
Has a meeting with Chief Inspector Newman the next day to discuss a new post at Shrewsbury (13 March 1915).
