TitleDiary of William Thomas Bason
DescriptionDiary entries in this journal become quite repetitive. Regular visits and letters from his children continue. Health concerns become more apparent but he still attends Council Meetings and occasionally delivers the sermon in church.
The editor of 'Seren' wishes for Bason to write a weekly article, but he declines, saying that it would be "too much of a mental concentration". Instead, Bason is content with writing letters to paper (9 Dec 1959).
Bason attends the Special Housing Committee where tenders are considered for the erection of 17 dwellings and site works (bungalows for the aged). After Bason points out that it was improper of the Chairman to speak against a decision of the Council of Bala, the Chairman calls him 'an old crank' (21 June 1961).
