He was a devote member of the Wesleyan Church and became a passionate Wesleyan lay preacher. Besides his church activities, he became a Labour Party organizer (he was one of the main figures in the founding of the Merioneth Labour Party), a Trade Union representative at the national level, as well as a long time member of the Bala City Council. |
