TitleLetter [photocopy] from Lewis Morris [Llewelyn Ddu o Fôn 1701-1765], London to O. Meyrick, Esq, 3 September 1748
DescriptionHas stumbled over a ms. book out of Harleian library with 6 other mss. on the genealogies of Wales and England. One of them being the pedigree of tair sir deheubarth in Lewi Dwnn's own hand. His book [?Plans of Harbours, Bays, and Roads in St. George's and the Bristol Channels] goes very fast and shall do better when the town fills. Thanks [O. Meyrick] for subscribing to it. "Mae dynion fal defaid neu anifeiliaid eraill, pan elo un ir dwr fe a'r cwbl". Intends to publish a catalogue of those names that have subscribed - if he could get the King and Prince he should be up.

Nicolson is come to town. Forsees that R. Lloyd will not be restored and Paynter has no chance to keep in. Good honest whigs are better looked upon by the present ministry than these MP's who are locusts feeding on the exchequer

Attached :
