From a script on the dorse in the hand of Griffith ap Robert V. himself [of Plas Hen or Talhenbont, High Sheriff in 1541] this release was really a deed of mortgage which was redeemed by Llewelyn and Robert his son on 20 October 1552. His brother Rees [ap Robert V.] was one of the witnesses of the redemption. |
