TitlePaper relating to difficulties arising from the will of William Clark Russell
DescriptionA case was entered in Chancery, which involved Russell's son and three daughters. One of these daughters was Geraldine Mary Humphreys of Portmadoc, described as "married Woman," for whom Messrs. Jones & Jones acted as solicitors. No other more definite information can be deduced about her from the documents in the case itself in 1920 nor in the appeal of 1921. Was she the wife of John Humphreys, one of the partners in the firm? His death occured in December 1922; so "married woman" was an appropriate legal term for his wife in 1920-1921.
