DescriptionHe bequeaths Treddafydd [Ucha] and Pentre Dafydd in Llanychllwydog to his wife Mary during her natural life; after her death, to his son William and his heirs; if William has no heirs, to his daughter Anne, wife of the Rev. Richard Prichard during her life; after her death, according to seniority of age and priority of birth, to her sons John and Richard William, and in default of heirs to either of them, to her daughters and their heirs. Other bequests refer to a brother named Thomas, and to his sisters Anne, Martha, and Elizabeth. Wife Mary named as sole executrix. One of his chief friends in Caernarvon must have been John Oakes the grocer and tobacco manufacturer of Castle Street (Old Karnarvon, p. 167 and footnote ), who together with his shop-man Elias Williams and his apprentice Hugh Jones witness the will.
