(ii) 1883, Sept 27 Letter: Aunt Polly [Wynne] to Bob [R.W. Wynne], touching the Rhode Island question and wondering if he or his brother Dick could find out any more - "if you could claim it you might spare a bit of it to your poorer relations!"
(iii) c. 1883 Draft notes made by Robert William Wynne on the subject with suggestions as to how to go about a search, and estimates as to their chances of success. "I shd think some Wynne bagged it all long ago saying he was the only relation left."
(iv) 1954, June 21 Letter: H.M. Vice Consul at the British Consulate-General, 99 Park Avenue, New York, to R.O.F. Wynne Esq., forwarding his letter to the British Consul General in Boston.
(v) 1954, July 6 Letter: N.M. Hallett, H.M. Consul at the British Consulate-General, 2610 John Hancock Building, Boston, U.S.A., to R.O.F. Wynne Esq., with information about Wynnes in America. He has found none in Rhode Island, but some in Pennsylvania, and can only recommend the Rhode Island Historical Society who may undertake research on the subject. |
