TitleTwo scraps of writing, probably by Eyre Crowe A.R.A., incomplete. One concerns precocity in American youth. The other is a treatise on the goatee beard
Description"It steers clear alike of the prolific crop of hair wh the French red hot Socialist considers orthodox and of the trim thatch of whiskers & mustaches to wh the Britisher limits himself". He ponders on the connection with Republicanism and patriotism: "it is sufficiently developed to allow of no mistake as to its significance as the symbol of equality fraternity & liberty", and with the attitude of merchants, capitalists and Americans.
