Informing account of cattle bought and sold in 1847 (81). Ages of children (60), list of ancestors (67), which does not agree very well with Griffith's Pedigrees, 154. Agreement with son Samuel (49); bill paid for son William's tuition at the hands of "Mr. Edwards, Bala," the famous Dr. Lewis Edwards (101) - this from February to June, 1848. Where was Mr. Lakeland's academy situated, where Samuel had his schooling in 1845, he being then 17 years of age? (cp. 17, 60). According to GWR/35, p.3, at Christleton by Chester. On p.1, there is the long address of a Welshman named Thomas Williams who had migrated to Wisconsin (from Penmaenmawr?).
