He had married, as far back as 1734, Margaret Lewis of Bont Newydd in Caerns., and so was closely related to the Evans family of Trefeilir and Henblas. But all his benefactions are to be members of the Poole family, and to various members of the Tudor family, of Penrhos on co. Mont. (cousins), while the purpose of the codicil is to deny that he had charged his lands with any annuity to his son Hugh.
